VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
This is a great event that is sure to touch your heart as we partner with Niswonger Children’s Hospital on their Scarecrow Skedaddle. Several volunteers are needed for this event and we would love to see you out there giving back to the community and watching our friends skedaddle to the finish line.
MODIFIED PARTICIPANTS
We are so excited for this year’s race. Your modified athlete is signed up for the best part, the MODIFIED RACE! It will be first event of the day. We will be inside the mini-dome at ETSU this year.
WHERE: Please arrive at the PURPLE TENT inside the mini-dome at 1pm to give us time to prepare for the race at 1:45.
WHEN: This Sunday at 1pm.
EQUIPMENT/ATHLETE DROP OFF: If you have equipment, or would like to drop off your athlete to shorten the distance (and save their energy for the race), please pull into the TRAFFIC CIRCLE OFF STATE OF FRANKLIN onto JOHN ROBERT BELL DR for loading and unloading. You will not be able to park here. We will have volunteers in purple t-shirts to greet you and help transfer athletes and their equipment to the purple tent inside the mini-dome.
PARKING: There will be special parking for MODIFIED ATHLETES on the second floor of the parking garage next to the mini-dome. Parking on the SECOND FLOOR will allow you to skip any need for a staircase so you can head on over to the purple tent in the mini-dome.
PURPLE TENT: Here’s where all the action happens! We will have your race packet, including your athlete’s t-shirt. You will meet your coach and the coach will stay will the athlete from here until after the race. We encourage families to share all information with their coach, then go and cheer your athlete through the whole race. This year, after the race, all athletes will go on stage to receive their awards. Please celebrate with us then meet your athlete and their coach at the purple tend after the race and plan to go to the ShinDig with your family.
If you have any questions, please email Kelly.Rary@balladhealth.org or text at 423-534-0725.
We are excited to see you Sunday!
