We have been carefully monitoring the weather over the past day and a half, and in light of the escalating severity of the flooding and continuing storm damage, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 15th annual Bluegrass Half Marathon.
We had every intention to continue forward with Sunday’s race but after today’s recent events, we recognize that the emergency services we would have utilized for this race are urgently needed to support our community during this crisis, and we cannot justify diverting those critical resources away from those in need.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we transition into rescheduling this evening for November 17th. All registered racers will have the option to attend in person on November 17th, switch your registration to a virtual run, or apply your registration fee to another future Goose Chase event.
Racers will also receive an email with more detailed information.
