WALKING LEADERS AND AMBASSADORS

REGISTRATION FOR

Spring/Fall 2026 is open!

Get Involved with The Goose Chase

We offer two different ways to be part of The Goose Chase community.
Both roles are valuable — they’re just different.

Please review each role and choose the one that best fits your interests, availability, and strengths.

Walking Group Leader

Community-Focused Role

Walking Group Leaders help build local community by hosting a consistent weekly walk.

This role may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy walking and connecting with others

  • Like consistency and routine

  • Prefer a low-pressure, non-sales role

  • Want to encourage others to move at their own pace

Walking Group Leaders:

  • Lead one local walk weekly (day, time, and location of your choice)

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment

  • Communicate basic group info (attendance, general feedback)

  • Represent The Goose Chase positively in the community

Walking Group Leaders receive:

  • Complimentary entry into Goose Chase races while actively leading

  • Occasional merchandise or perks

  • Recognition as a Walking Group Leader

Important notes:

  • This is a volunteer role

  • No event staffing or promotion is required

  • No social media posting requirements

  • This role focuses on community, not marketing

Brand Ambassador

Event & Outreach-Focused Role

Brand Ambassadors represent The Goose Chase at events and help share information about races, programs, and sponsors.

This role may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy race-day energy and talking with people

  • Are comfortable being visible and engaging with the public

  • Like sharing events on your own social media platforms

  • Want a more active, structured role

Brand Ambassadors:

  • Staff The Goose Chase / Walking Club tent at events

  • Answer questions about races, walking clubs, and programs

  • Support sponsor activations at events

  • Promote events independently on personal platforms

  • Assist with light setup and teardown at assigned events

Brand Ambassadors receive:

  • Event-day compensation for assigned shifts

  • Opportunity to earn affiliate commissions

  • Ambassador apparel and select perks

  • Recognition on The Goose Chase website and social channels

Important notes:

  • Brand Ambassadors must apply and be approved

  • Availability and expectations are clearly defined

  • This role requires reliability and professionalism

Can I Do Both?

Yes — some individuals may serve as both Walking Group Leaders and Brand Ambassadors, but each role is reviewed and managed separately.

Participation in one role does not automatically include the other.

Not Sure Which Role to Choose?

That’s okay.

  • If you want to lead weekly walks and build community → choose Walking Group Leader

  • If you want to work events and represent The Goose Chase publicly → choose Brand Ambassador

Roles are reviewed periodically to ensure a positive experience for both participants and The Goose Chase.
