Volunteers! 

We are always needing help at packet pickup, set up and along the course for directional help for the runners. If you aren’t able to run, not a runner, need volunteer or community service hours or just simply want to help us out, please click the button below and sign up! Course information

Start/Finish on 3rd St at Covered Bridge Park (1st leg of relay)

Exchange 1 – DMV/Isaiah House (2nd leg of relay)

Exchange 2 – Pizza Inn parking lot (3rd leg of relay)

Exchange 3 – West Side Elementary(4th leg of relay)

4 additional water stations along the course –

Downtown on Hattie Ave., turnaround on Tweetsie Trail (mile 8) and W F St

RELAY TEAM INFORMATION

Shuttles are available to take you to and from each exchange. Please be patient as they are constantly on the move to or from. They will be back to get you! These shuttles will be on Elk Ave and ready to start transportation by 6:45 a.m. Please pay attention and be ready to go when they arrive! We will get the shuttles going on time so please do not be late or you will miss it!

Event parking and bathroom information

The available parking areas are labeled on the map along with available bathrooms. Please be considerate of the local businesses that will be open and their parking areas as they will conduct business as usual race morning. However, if you choose to park in these areas, please consider supporting them before and/or after the event! Thank you for your cooperation as we want this to be a successful event for everyone!

Building in parking lot on Armed Forces Dr. behind Coffee Company, Cat Island (softball fields) and portojohns at Covered Bridge Park.

Overall (top 3), Top Masters, Top Grandmasters

Age groups (top 3): 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Band (2-4 Person) Relay Teams: Top 3 Coed, Top 3 Male, Top 3 Female

Costume Contest – Solo Artist, Duet, Best Band(3+)

Medals will be presented to all runners and walkers who complete the race. NO BIB = NO MEDAL. If you have forgotten your bib, please find a member of The Goose Chase near the finish line the morning of the race.

We did offer a hand cycle event for several years.  However, the participation level declined to only one cyclist per year.  The decision was made by several within our organization to discontinue this race option.  We support our hand cyclist and wish them the best.

Total of 6 hydration stations. Each exchange area will offer a hydration station and then there will be additional stations along the course.
