What is a Walking Ambassador?
We’re not looking for people that “have it all” together. We are looking for fun, cheerful and encouraging people that have a heart to help others get moving and walk. People who love to walk and want to help others to discover the benefits of simply walking.
Ambassador requirements:
- Available to lead a walking group on a weekly or by-weekly basis
- Walking Ambassadors support all of The Goose Chase events (in-person and virtual) by either walking, running or simply promoting online.
- Blogging, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat and tweeting regularly (at least 3x per month on one or all platforms) about upcoming race news from The Goose Chase. Each week we will have various ideas for you to post and share, but be creative and have fun with this!
- Through any of the above platforms, we want our ambassadors to encourage people to continue and complete the walking challenge throughout the six month challenge by posting testimonials and photos/videos.
- Ambassadors are asked to use the hashtag #walkingchallenge2024 & #TheGooseChase on their social media posts.
- Collateral distribution in your hometown where walkers might go (like fitness center, stores, restaurants, etc., pretty much wherever you go). Ambassadors are asked to distribute flyers to a minimum of three local establishments. We will provide the marketing material.
- Word-of Mouth! Tell your friends, family, walking groups and co-workers about our upcoming events.
- Wear your Ambassador apparel when participating in our weekly walking groups and in local races. Our Ambassador apparel creates a great opportunity to share the Walking Challenge with others.
- Ambassadors must be available to assist at two upcoming events at the Walking Challenge tent to promote and encourage participants.
- Shamrock Shuffle – March 16
- Yellow Brick Run 5k – April 13
- May The Fourth Be With You 4k – May 4
- Music & Miles Half Marathon – May 11
- We want Ambassadors to lead, guide, motivate and inspire their friends and fellow walkers!
- Walking Ambassadors are expected to meet the above requirements for all events in 2024.

Please note: Ambassadors do NOT receive financial compensation of any kind. This is strictly and purely a volunteer role, not employee, freelance or contractor. We do not subsidize travel or training expenses or issue payment of any kind.
