The S’mores Run – Townsend, TN
Get ready to sweeten up your stride at The S’mores Run 5K & 10K in beautiful Townsend, Tennessee on Saturday, November 8, 2025! This fun and festive event starts and finishes at the charming Townsend Abbey, with the scenic course winding along the peaceful Townsend Greenbelt.

After crossing the finish line, celebrate with our one-of-a-kind S’mores Extravaganza on the Abbey’s riverside patio—complete with fire pits, gooey marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, and plenty of cozy vibes. Whether you’re running, walking, or just here for the s’mores, this event is the perfect mix of fitness, fun, and fall mountain beauty.

Join us for a day filled with community, sweet treats, and miles of smiles in the Smokies!

This is a dog friendly event…
Canine participants are welcome and must be well socialized and on a leash. All dog owners are responsible to clean up after their dogs. Plastic bags will be available at check-in. We will have treats and water for your fur baby but no medals will given to animals.

Join us after the race at the Townsend Abbey and on their patio for the ultimate S’mores Bar, music and fun.

Townsend Abbey offers a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers and more.

Please note – All finishers will receive a medal IF they have a bib. If you do not have your bib on race day, please go to packet pickup prior to the race and let someone know. 

However, you can register during packet pickup or since there is a small processing fee for online registration, participants can save money by printing off a registration form and sending it to us at:

Virtual Option

How a Virtual Race Works
A virtual race gives you the freedom to complete the event on your own terms—whether that’s in your neighborhood, at the gym, on a treadmill, or even at home. Simply track your run or walk using your GPS watch, Fitbit, Garmin, or a running app on your phone. Then take a photo or screenshot of your results and send it to us. Once we receive it, we’ll log your completion and include you in the official results. It’s that easy!

How You’ll Get Your Race Items
You’ll still receive all the fun race swag—like your t-shirt, medal, and awards! You have three options to get your items:

1. Pick up at packet pickup during the normal times.

2. Have it mailed (just cover the shipping & handling fee—payment can be sent via Venmo).

3. Local pickup at the Abbey (we’ll text or email you when your packet is ready, and you can grab it at your convenience).

The Goose Chase has a no refund policy due to the pre-ordering of event shirts, medals, bibs, etc. We understand that emergencies or last minute schedule changes do occur, therefore, to better accommodate you, we have some other options instead.

• You can have someone pick up your packet for you
• You can transfer your entry to someone else
• You can switch to the virtual option and turn in your virtual race time at a later time, and still receive the shirt and medal.
• You can defer to the next year
